15 world class international athletes including the likes of Canadian World Champion Endurance Mountain Bike Racer Cory Wallace, Japanese Ultra-Endurance racer Yuki Ikeda, Epic Legend Mike Blewitt, 4 times Australian representative for Elite women across Olympic Cross-Country and Cross-Country Marathon cyclist Imogen Smith, US National Champion Ryan Standish etc., cycled across Sri Lanka , passing through the iconic Sri Lankan tourist attractions along the route to enjoy a truly authentic Sri Lankan riding experience.

Cycling champion Jan 2023
Sri Lanka Navy women cyclists won the overall team championship in cycling at the 12th Defence Services Games. The race started from the Air Force Base, Katunayake on 08th January 2023.
It covered 65km and 400m in distance, through Minuwangoda, Divulapitiya, Katana and Negombo before returning to the Air Force Base, Katunayake. The women's cycling team of the Navy completed the race in 02h 02min 47sec winning the overall championship. The gold medal for the best woman cyclist was won by Woman Ordinary Seaman KASN Perera.

AWARDING THE BIKE TO WORK WINNERS AND CONNECTING ON SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
Today on World Bicycle Day, we awarded the winners of the 'Bike to Work' call for proposals. We received many proposals for promoting solutions for the home to work commute.
Supported by Iganga Foundation Goudappel, Dutch Cycling Embassy and Ride for Life-Sri Lanka සුව දිවියට පාපැදිය சுகவாழ்வுக்குச் சவாரி, we are delighted to award the first prize to WishQue as they continue to develop a software solution that will be open source for organisations interested to promote work home cycling.
Citizens Development Business Finance PLC won second prize in recognition of their ongoing pilot project on bike to work schemes and incentives developed to promote cycling to work.
Third prize winners include Save a Life, Ecoware Lanka, Green Life Generation and Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, Sri Lanka, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine.
To mark this occasion we also hosted a discussion for stakeholders working on Sustainable Mobility. This engaging discussion was attended by representatives of the Urban Development Authority - UDA, Road Development Authority, Bank of Ceylon, PickMe, Uber, UNDP Sri Lanka Citra Lab and the Department of Motor Traffic Sri Lanka
